Please look further into this situation before generalizing. The current state of Iran IS one of a terrorist nation. I would not underestimate how threatening their theocratic uprising and vindictive stance towards America is. I never supported a war in Iraq, but would support a war on Iran. Should Iran make a military advance in the middle east, I would suggest military intervention immediately. If Iran were to create a large enough empire in the middle east, we would face World War 3.
I agree that if left isolated, Iran would destroy itself. I also do not propose attacking Iran. Even talk of attacking Iran only empowers their government. Yet, Iran seeks expansion. It already invaded Iraq, it probably has networks in the anarchical areas of Afghanistan and Iraq (thanks to G.W.Bush), and it seeks to unite all Arabs against the West (a historical reference is to Hitler wanting to unite all Germans ie: Lebensraum).
