I don't have this "League of Legends" game, so I can't speak to it, but the Scott Pilgrim game was ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES OF THE YEAR, NO QUESTION. It's like a perfect love letter to anyone who grew up in the NES/SMS generation and loved comic books as much as they loved River City Ransom. FUCKING AWESOME audio, which I have +2'd because you've reminded me of how fucking awesome the music is in this game.
You should see them live. They have live shows all over NYC all the time. I've seen em 3 times, even way before they hit mainstream. There's an underground chip movement in the city. They have monthly concerts at this one venue (3-4 new artists every month) and a yearly event called Blip Festival which is 3 straight nights of chip music.
Funny but back in my day (I'm old) video games were mainly in arcades. And you had to put quarters in the games to play them. Music was primarily added to the games to distract the player so he would die and have to use more quarters to continue playing.
The generations that followed go out of their way to listen to the intentionally annoying music and think it's great.
