$500 version doesn't support HDMI (it's still HD, you just have to use inferior connectors), the card reader, the "I have too much money" trim, and possibly the wifi. Which means the $500 still has a HD and modem and is useful, unlike the worthless $300 360 Core. So $500 system vs. $400 system. Why do people go nuts at a 25% difference?
