And xycos: There is nothing (as I understand it) in the English language closer to a morae than a syllable. I would think that if you were really upset about this you would lament the fact that Americans think ANYTHING 5-7-5 counts as a haiku, regardless of content. (See 7th comment, which still fails by American standards because "seven" has two syllables.)_
