@Korf, would prefer that I had said "75% of those who have reference NEDM so far viewed my rendition in a positive light. **NOTICE** The views expressed in this statistic are in no way the views of YTMND or Max Goldberg"? Don't be an *ssh*le, you know what I meant.
@thetinguy: thanks for showing to everyone that you have absolutely no idea where the phrase came from. Look it up in the wiki and then, hopefully, you will understand.
@genital and hatt: I'm working on incorporating happy cat now
I'll try provide a brief summary as to how this relates to NEDM so you don't have to make that trip to wiki:
1. root of the NEDM involved a cat being killed by gas, this refers to cat being killed by woodchipper with the commentary (or flammable liquid?")
2. Original "NEDM" ytmnd involved happycat and chapstick, so does this one 3. they both have fake doom music
I had sources cited to begin with then it disappeared after I changed the stuff around but I put them back now.
@beat: it's an NEDM because it's saying that not even doom music justified putting cats into a wood chipper, I don't see what would make it more NEDM but if you have some ideas, pray tell.
@everyone else I entertain reasonable criticisms but it seems that half the people want it with more colbert and the other half with more cat but I'm always game for constructive criticism.
