So max... What do you feel when you log in these days and see what your once great website has become?<br /><br />When you look back at the successful battles you've had with Dustin Diamond, Ebaum, Sega and Scientology, do you find it ironic that your once (I assume) proud site has been ruined by the very free speech and copyright principles you fought so hard for in the beginning?<br /> <br /><br />When you see the U&C splattered with anti-Semitic/racist moonman sites does it burn you that through it all [i]this [/i]is how you're making money off the site, or do you just secretly smile all the way to the bank knowing that you're getting the last laugh on these kids? Is that your little "eff you" back to them?<br /><br />I have no idea what you want from this site going forward and have no idea why you allow this easy to moderate stuff to continue?<br /><br />We can debate all day long about different reasons why we all think the site has taken a turn, but surely this part of it is easy.<br /><br />Are you making that much money off moonman that you just can't bring yourself to shut it down? You seem to keep threatening to wipe these kids out, but never do.<br /><br />Why?

ytmnd 'worked' when 1) the jan 2006 ebaums debacle created an influx of new users and interest to the site ( http://doir.ir/duxx/05-01-2012-10-39-25_viz.png ) .. new users enjoyed making sites because the gif+sound(+text) concept was so simple, and allowed plenty of room for experimentation. 2) more importantly, the frontpage served as a huge incentive to make sites as it rewarded users with massive audience exposure via 'up and coming' and 'top viewed today' .<br /><br />ytmnd 'died' when max decided to make the site orange. straight up. the intimidating gang tattoo 'ytmnd' logo at the top of the page in like 2005-2006 was so good. it worked so well. if you had never been to the site before it seemed sort of like a dangerous place--along with there being a nsfw version with a BLACK background. fucking menacing imo-- im not even playing max that site design was so badass. <br /><br />idk bout yall but 'camping out' on sites' comment pages that were up and coming/most viewed all day/night reading comments as they came in was the shit. it was even worth it to make exotic troll sites like [site cosby-bebop:site] that had endless hateful comments just for the pleasure of reading. does a site even make like 10 views any more? <br /><br />max knew how to get users to do shit for him for free, because people cared about the site. that was going for him real well until people warmed up to his jew tricks and he had to get people like BTape to make stuff for him. What do you think is going to happen to the site if you promote BTape to chairman of the board? take a look at the site in its present state.<br /><br />the community of those who were most active in 2006 are no longer active, except for fearcondom lol, and because as you can see, there is no incentive to make sites any more if you want to reach any sort of audience. seriously who comes to this site any more---who are all these people?<br /><br />this site was a lot of fun at one point though

Not all mashups, just this one.)<br /><br />However, one quick thing - It's not my term, it's inkdrinker's term, and once upon an internet, it was the only way to silence the VOTE 5ers. It was a rallying cry for YTMND because we had places to go and things to do and places to go and short attention spans and things to do.<br /><br />It was a simpler time. It was a happier time. This website is aging like Detroit; where there was a booming industry, there is a desolate and abandoned front page. Where there was Motown, there is now Insane Clown Posse and Kid Rock. All the comedy has been outsourced; Now they put this dumb shit on YouTube, and if you remove the sound, Twitter. This used to be the kind of website that led to CNN headlines ( http://yahooracists.ytmnd.com/ ), called out ebaumsworld on their theft ( http://fuckericbauman.ytmnd.com/ ) and even crashed their servers (search ebaums world, there's endless screenshots of their dead server page).<br /><br />A center of great thinkers and internet revolution, it ain't. But it used to be much more diverse, funny, and important (on an internet scale anyway). Thank you for the civil discourse. You may have inspired me to start making YTMNDs again.

They think they're the smartest place on the internet, they are for sure the most unfoundedly (not a word, don't care-->reddit would flip tit shits at a spelling/grammar error, but chances are the person who made it does not give a fuck) arrogant place on the internet. When they link a youtube video and people comment about reddit, 2 people will make posts like "reddit is evil and you will get viruses when you go there, i did." They assume that every single dumb youtuber will go to reddit and like it and ruin. In reality they only people who will go there from youtube and actually use it will be the antisocial, socially retarded people who fit in perfectly with the people who already use it. Yeah they do some good things like give people money and jobs and help and stuff, but mostly it's a crap hole and they themselves are assholes for thinking the way they do about how superior they are because they use reddit. In conclusion regarding your argument with lickit that i skimmed, they should post ytmnds all they want because it helps keep this site alive, but they should make it clear that they are not the site maker if they are not, and they should never steal the gif without giving credit. They should beware of what happened to ebaums for stealing lindsay lohann, but perhaps there is currently no retribution to fear because ytmnd is dying, but maybe our alliance with 4chan in war could be rekindled just like when the elves decided to help man again against the orcs at the battle of helms deep. I hate reddit. I respect gr33nscr33n more than reddit, he's just a troll who probably doesn't relate much of his real life to ytmnd, whereas redditors wish they were trolls whose lives don't revolve around ytmnd&#44
