Clearly some education is in order. Nintendo and Sony were working for a new CD attachment for the SNES. Modification points will be a new system that will be launching with the new site creator. It will allow users to make a limited number of edits to a YTMND before its votes and views are reset. The goal of the modification points system is to keep people from changing the content/title of a site in order to acquire an unnatural amount of views. This will also possibly alleviate problems stemming from people getting sites on the front page and then modifying them to be a completely different site.

I make sites to please certain other users I know and myself, and hope that maybe one of them will occasionally have a mass acceptance. But at the same time I can look beyond my own little corner and hope that new users wont come in and make the site a place I dont want to visit, and that the users who entertain me, which is FAR more important, stick around. In order for the users I like to stick around, in some cases, that means I need to stick around too. Its a community...

Note the use of harsh language. It's the only thing that you sensationalists seem to listen to. The new "enlightenment" going on right now is nothing more than presenting a watered down and sensationalized version of the accounts in the bible in order to obtain mass appeal rather than elicit honest thought. People go to bible studies to study selections of the bible. I could convince you that the world was flat if I were allowed to leave out the glaring inconsistencies with the view. Ignorance is not best.

Is it just me or does the new Quick Search not sort in order of highest rated to lowest, and it only shows about half the results per page as the old one? o_O

I fear it might lead to less sponsorship too- perhaps a limited beta-test is in order? Try it out for awhile with new sponsorships, and see if it actually has a negative impact. Perhaps it could not be a 1:1 ratio. To knock a site down by $1, you'd have to pay $2, or something. There's lots of room to flex it. Like I said, it's just an idea. Oh, and n4rvst? DIAF downvoter.
