It's funny, really. Apparently, no one told him to take that page down, so he kept it up even to this day because he... didn't know you wanted him to take the page down? I'm sorry, but since when does being a millionaire make you ignorant as a f*cking rock? But yeah, something should be said for taking a loss with elegance by not retaliating any further, because lord knows "Tom Cruise Kills Oprah" is probably going to get jacked next, dated as it is.

You make it sound like I'm anti technology. I'm against solving a problem that didn't f*cking exist. Do we really need more Family Guy clips and screamer sites and people posting videos they got on ebaums? Between flash, cheaper video cameras (including mad tech available at schools now,) web cams, easily pirated video software, etc, it's not like there was some critical absence of video capability. Anyone with a vision already had a ton of tools available to them. All this is going to enable is weak-ass hackery.

At first I thought collaborative filtering would protect me from viewing sites I don't like, but all it's done is make me curious. For example, I didn't bother looking at that site called "^_^" until collaborative filtering predicted I would hate it. I think this is going to make YTMND a lot more fun. Good work Max! You've earned those probably hundreds of dollars I've spent on you.

You are diabolical, Max. While I didn't really buy it on Tuesday, I was starting to believe it yesterday because of all the things Creeppipe was saying on the site Fearcondom made. So the question is, were they in on it or was this part of the scheme to make everyone believe this is the end? To think of all the sites I could have downvoted yesterday, but didn't. Damn, now I have to finish my Van Halen site now that I teased it enough.

i showed someone some sites i made, along with that murdarmachene site about taco salad and i also showed the (pppttttt) new talent on 60 mins site. he loved all of them and said "wait, so people make these and upload them with their own separate urls, and people vote on them?" he even thought the gay inside jokes were funny before i even explained some of them. he thought my parody of fourest's clint eastwood site was insanely funny, just because it was so strange. keep in mind, this person is a major media snob, kind of like gr33nscr33n but a little younger. he said "i want in" and "show me how you make these" so i briefly explained the format and linked him ytmnd.com. he had no idea what the fuck it was, didn't know how to find other funny sites, and didn't bother trying for more than 30 seconds. i said "yup, sounds about right."<br /><br />[i]true story[/i]

To give a more descriptive response:<br /><br />x point in time: no confrontations on YTMND<br /><br />x point later (still no confrontations), send message to Umfuld asking whether or not he plans on making any more batman sites from the original series<br /><br />Response: "didn't read", a picture of a mudkip, etc.<br /><br /><br />Yeah. Really makes me want to give Umfuld more exposure by posting about how x person tweeted his site. I'm sure it's the same case for the other "trolls".<br /><br />And finally, you're a bit vague when you say "trolls [rodheh] said should be made mods". Who are those people specifically? Ochobobo is the only one I mentioned, and I don't see it wrong that he seems like a pretty neutral and reasonable member here. I know you like to put L83 on blast for being a "troll" here, and if you think I'd want anyone like that to be a moderator then I don't know what would have given you that idea. You don't put someone who is/previously has been heavily involved with this shit in a position of power - regardless of how reasonable I think a person like him might be outside of YTMND drama. Other candidates would be people like DaveTheRave when and if he had time, which he doesn't.<br /><br />Though max answered a question regarding mods I'd been wanting a clear answer about for years now, so it's pretty much decided that there will be no mods for the dwindling community. mDS proposed an alternate thing but whatever, just seems part a lost cause and part that it would be half-assed at this point.

According to his post on Reddit, he's not really interested in selling it, but he didn't mention handing it over either. I'd imagine running it for so long would make giving it up a bit hard, I know I would have issues.<br /><br />I mean, the website is more or less solid. Except for some expanded media support, reopening the forums, and perhaps drawing some more users in, YTMND is fine.<br /><br />But yeah, hosting this stuff is expensive. Renting datacenter space isn't cheap, neither is maintaining stuff. No ads makes large websites like this unsustainable unless you're just loaded.<br /><br />Even 4chan is having issues now. As derpy as both YTMND and 4chan *can be,* I hate to imagine both disappearing.

I give this site a 3/5. I didn't get a chuckle out of this one, but you are right. Superman is dead, but people still try to make fifth-rate rehashes of the series.
