Wow, it's been a day. I woke up literally with the news of his passing. I'm really saddened because now I don't know if there will be any real innovation... minds like his don't come everyday.

Unfortunately, my experience with Apple products hasn't been very positive. I bougth an iPod in 2005 but it broke down a few months later, and a free replacement lasted just in time to be out of warranty. A batch of Toshiba hard drives was defective and I think there were not enough complaints for Apple to issue a free or discounted replacement out of warranty. I don't have a lot of money so I was very disappointed, and angry. I became angry at the whole brand, feeling that their products were not worth a play, and started to walk away from the fake confidence I gave myself when I bought my iPod (it costs a lot so it must sound good and it should never break down!).

I'm planning to get a new MP3 player now, and I might give Apple a go again. Not because I'm jealous that everybody has one (seriously, they are everywhere), but because there are so few good choices when it comes to external design and usability. Some companies copy Apple, and I would feel uncomfortable using something that looks like... but it's not, some are very nice externally but miles behind Apple, and others, well, they do it their own strange way. I'm not very happy with current iPods having a Cirrus audio chip, because, I read, music sounds really bad and almost tinny. But if they get a Wolfson chip again I'll be happy to consider buying it. After all, I don't want to get blind with a lousy 2 inch screen! I want to get blind the old fashioned way: by looking at porn in the bus!

All thanks to the great and daring ideas of a man and his staff. I want to remember Mr Jobs for his own ideas, and I think I will do the same when Bill Gates, Martin Cooper, Linus Torvalds, Clive Sinclair and many others will lead the way to new geniuses.

I thought about both of those options, but:

1. I don't think mp3s can loop seamlessly.
2. Using animated GIFs in the foreground causes certain issues that I don't know how to solve. For instance, If I were to put the sun and the 4 guys with wands in the foreground, the animated pieces would have a thin, white border around them (something to do with the way transparencies in GIFs are processed?). It looks kinda sloppy, so I went with 1 GIF when I realized I could get it all in 1 GIF and under 8MB.

Apparently, APNGs are the solution to problem #2 - how do you make these kinds of files?
[site universea:site]

Well, I am glad that you are nice to at least a couple people here. I'm sure Kekko and dascoot are great people. I personally am not familiar with them. I know pohandle on facebook - he seems okay. He handled a disagreement we had relatively well in terms of not getting emotional or relying on personal attacks.

With all due respect, your standards for people seem pretty high. Perhaps that's why you seem to reject most people here?

I vote highly for Darthwang sites that I have because those have made me laugh. I can only recall one moral problem I actually had with him, and that was his gobacktomexico.ytmnd.com site, which was using racism to attack someone. Definitely did not vote 5 on that one.

Yeah, I'm not terribly thrilled he has called people 'faggot'. Especially since what I know how that kind of issue is hormonal based and can't really be controlled by the person. From what I understand, the orientation of a person is driven before birth. So I no longer ridicule people for this sort of thing, unless it is against a sincere homophobic monster like Fred Phelps (and done for irony).

But the context of him doing this, a lot of other guys done it to him and he just retaliates. Darthwang does the same thing. Well at least he used to. Now he seems to do it out of habit to anyone who acts like a dick. I probably would have done something similar before I knew what I know.

I haven't ruled out doing something. Yes, YTMND would be more fun. But for every 60 minutes of live radio, it requires 3-4 hours of prep. You wouldn't think so, but that's what it takes to do it right. I can't commit to every week. Maybe once a month? We'll see.

Hermione slid down the bed and felt him suck in a deep breath as she bent and wrapped her mouth around his penis. He was probably surprised she'd done so on her own initiation, which was indeed a first for her, but with him everything was different. This wasn't like sex with Rufus, or Abel, or Gerald. This wasn't something they wanted and that she was okay with. She had instigated sex with her previous lovers plenty of times, but she had never felt this openness, this freedom to express the intense sexual desire she was feeling...nor had she ever felt towards any of them anything approaching the desire she now felt towards Harry. She had never in her life initiated oral sex, she had always been asked or begged or goaded into doing it. Harry had not asked for it. He didn't have to, just as she knew she wouldn't have to ask him for anything that would pleasure her. Giving pleasure had never felt so important a part of receiving it. She wanted him in every way she could get him, she wanted to experience everything with him. He growled deep in his chest when she slid her hands under his hips; he undulated against her face in unconscious movement. She waited to feel that hand on the back of her head, holding her in place, but it didn't come. She glanced up at him. His head was thrown back, his arms flung to either side of his body and his hands clutched in the sheets. He was completely vulnerable, and she had him in her thrall. She smiled a little and went back to work, determined to drive him as wild as she felt. (And 5 because A: YTCM is great and B: holy shit at this present, this has to be among the longest YTMNDs)

That seems to be what you are arguing from my vantage point.

I mean, I have seen various websites come and go over the years. Same thing with internet memes. Listen (pde11) obviously you are not solely to blame for ytmnd being in the dumper. the point i'm trying to make, to you, to everyone, is that right now ytmnd is on it's deathbed and a small handful of users have enough influence to make the front page be as bad as it could possibly be, literally. ytmnd has officially passed the tipping point where a small group can heavily influence what anyone who comes here sees. believe it or not, it would be better if some garbage site with a tiled stolen gif and pop music were on the u&c instead of a joke about umfuld or a headpaste of max fighting darthwang. god forbid someone sees something mildly interesting, something that they can understand.

you and all the people mentioned are not to blame for the decline of ytmnd, you are simply a symptom of decline. and you did do some damage. but going forward, your regular behavior will be more and more destructive.

"Well, my dear," said Mr. Bennet, when Elizabeth had read the note aloud, "if your daughter should have a dangerous fit of illness -- if she should die, it would be a comfort to know that it was all in pursuit of Mr. Bingley, and under your orders."

"Oh! I am not at all afraid of her dying. People do not die of little trifling colds. She will be taken good care of. As long as she stays there, it is all very well. I would go and see her if I could have the carriage."

Elizabeth, feeling really anxious, was determined to go to her, though the carriage was not to be had; and as she was no horsewoman, walking was her only alternative. She declared her resolution.

"How can you be so silly," cried her mother, "as to think of such a thing, in all this dirt! You will not be fit to be seen when you get there."

"I shall be very fit to see Jane -- which is all I want."

"Is this a hint to me, Lizzy," said her father, "to send for the horses?"

"No, indeed. I do not wish to avoid the walk. The distance is nothing when one has a motive; only three miles. I shall be back by dinner."

"I admire the activity of your benevolence," observed Mary, "but every impulse of feeling should be guided by reason; and, in my opinion, exertion should always be in proportion to what is required."

"We will go as far as Meryton with you," said Catherine and Lydia. Elizabeth accepted their company, and the three young ladies set off together.

"If we make haste," said Lydia, as they walked along, "perhaps we may see something of Captain Carter before he goes."

something that maddogsoldier would say if he ran for any kind of office, including the class president of his nephew's 4th grade class. despite the cease and desist orders, despite the pinky-moo-cow-nightgown'd lectures from his mom in front of the ragged couch in her own partially furnished basement:

"Your nephew is running for HIS fourth grade class president, NOT YOUR fourth grade class president because you're a 38 year old man who has already been through the fourth grade - twice. The city doesn't want you hanging around the school. we talked about this. talked and talked and talked. you don't need to show up at the playground at their recess. the last 20-plus years has been your recess. what are you doing to find a job? you cannot be a teacher at that school. you cannot be a teacher and you cannot be a student."

First, it must unsuperpose in a suitable species. A cockroach, would not do the trick, too limited, but a more potent being would. A god like being, is too improbable, or even impossible, given it must somehow being assembled. An intelligent being, like a vulcan or something, seems, nice, but the problem its that its too potent; it can not be controlled easily, for some non essential purpose, like "surviving" the quantum immortal. The ultra lazy slight improbability mechanism, would have to actually work seriously. A half arsed, some times "intelligent" being like a human, is a good compromise. A human civilization, can always invent something out of a dead end, and on the side "survive" the quantum immortal, without overworking the slight improbability mechanism.

The possibilities are infinite, but i'll concentrate on humans, this planet, and at this particular time. At a personal level i had to be very smart, the smartest i am, the beater i'm able to behave as expected by the infinite improbability drive, doh, i mean the slight improbability mechanism. Its not some random smartness, its at a very specific domain, with the appropriate sacrifices in abilities balanced out, for maximum practical impact, the best a human brain can offer in the field. Origin, of life, brain model and sociology model, and others, will play there given roles in my survival. Being male is an other requirement, more fit to survive in the long term, but also, with modern technology physical possibility to spawn out millions of kids, an important long term advantage, to have a strong blood link with huge chunk of the population. That it just happens, that i have some genes that will become the future norm helps further in establishing my self, all those millions of kids will help things up.

I really respect the effort and intent of your efforts with this site. But ultimately, I disagree with auto connecting youtube to the ytmnd site creator.

1. Doing this might risk further legal/copyright liability towards Max and the whole site. Suppose the youtube in question was a direct DVD/Blu Ray rip? If the content creators happened to be a major studio, distribution network or production company, then that alone could earn Max some serious trouble. They would likely have the resources to pursue litigation against him. As they have done in the past. Besides, such a DVD rip would even violate youtube policies. Perhaps someone from youtube might also pursue something against him.

2. Aside from legal issues, I think this would also discourage creativity for some. Most of the movie cuts/rips that make it to ytmnd have some modification to it. There are some which do not, but I do not think it makes sense to increase this number. Besides, if a clip is not modified, then it is less likely it would be thought of as satire in regards to legal issues.

3. This would also place a great strain on server resources. Video conversions are processor and ram intensive. Especially if the desired clip size is something ridiculous like 10 minutes long. Just imagine if 100 people were doing this at once. I almost guarantee that all of ytmnd would slow down drastically, if not simply fail to deliver pages entirely.

4. The great thing with users currently downloading the clips on to their own computers and doing their own conversions is that whatever they end up creating will not be able to make it to the server without the resulting file be smaller than the stated maximum file size per upload. With a server side conversion, there is no guaranteed easy way to detect how big the resulting file size will be until the animated gif is fully generated, unless one really shops around for such a converter.

If this was any moon crew regular, it would be one because of how dull and unoriginal this would be, even for them. But because it is you, and you are finally doing something different, I give you a 2

It's true. Umfuld really doesn't like me.

...which is testimony to precisely what a delusional fucktarded tool you are, madDoge. A guy who really doesn't like me, who, for valid reasons, thinks I don't add anything to this website because all I do is fuck around and troll retards (claim against which I would not argue) had to put you in your place to remind you that, despite the fact that I no longer add anything here but trolling bullshit, comment stalking, and obnoxious downvoting, I'm STILL BETTER RESPECTED HERE THAN YOU ARE.

This is not a badge of honor or me bragging. or even something to be the slightest but proud of, as It's like pointing out that I'm less gay than uncircumcised's voice or that I'm not nearly as big of a loser as some guy whose proudest achievement is the number of sites he's posted to a dead website: it's not even the faintest of faint praise.

But still, it's true. You are merely entertainment for the viewing public, like bread & circuses, a dancing monkey, a fucktarded fucktard so fucking retarded that most of us either thought for a long time that you were a joke account whose premise was to make the dumbest comments humanly possible or that you really are so far down the spectrum that of course you are proud to have graduated from Pratt. You're also just proud to have made it through most of the day without making a boom-boom in your pants.

Woo. Go you, you fucking anal fissure of mediocrity.

"Sorry you're too stupid to understand son but what he's saying is the government should not interfere with the sale of tobacco. Or DDT in colorful cups marketed to children."

Not exactly. With tobacco, most of us try not to interfere with the lives of others. That is unless they make others unhealthy.

Also, if I had a kid, I would not in any way approve of my child consuming or touching DDT. For the same reason that I would not approve of him or her consuming arsenic. Any company which would sneak such contents in their products are not defended by people like us.

But we do defend smokers because smokers are usually old enough and have heard from enough people about the dangers of smoking when they buy them. I also have a girlfriend who smokes. I am trying to help her quit. As someone who likes to be in shape, I have no interest in touching tobacco.

Finally, I distinguish second hand smoke from smoking all by yourself or smoking among other smokers in a lounge.

But you know what I find ironic of those on the left? How passionate they are to legalize marijuana, but they go on these extreme moral crusades to punish tobacco users. As if mary jane did not destroy your lungs faster than tobaccy.

"Any attempt to stop that is state interference and is unacceptable. Unless by "state" you mean individual U.S. States."

I don't believe in the existence of those either, actually.

"The Fed's tendency to protect blacks from racist state governments has nothing to do with that, probably."

I look at it as one mafia gang stopping another mafia gang from doing something evil, but for cynical reasons : vote harvesting. Politicians typically don't care. They only pretend to care when there are votes to grab.
