but, if these people who are currently costing YTMND money were to be the ones earning the money(IE- a small border of ads around an actual YTMND page if you're not logged in) then YTMND would do much better, and Max wouldn't mind these one-time users as much. However, the frequent users who view the main page daily will be generating revenue by viewing the smaller text ads there(the same as we do now, subtle yet effective. We each pay for ourselves.) , I think that there should be incentive provided to give a good vote spread and therefore vote HONESTLY. This would discourage blind downvoters and upvoters, and minimalize the effectiveness of alt downvoting or upvoting as well. That said BTape, you are still one of my favorite users and one of the best overall YTMNDers who "gets it" on an artistic and humorous level, so while I couldn't disagree more with your voting habits, I still love ya!

Pedigree? Wtf. Anyone who is pink did it through their own hard work. All you have to do is make good sites and you'll be pink too. Not too complicated is it? And as far as users already getting a lot of exposure, I would disagree with this. Only a handful of the ytmnd elite can sh*t something out and get it upvoted into U&C, no matter what. It seems that the turnover rate is pretty high on ytmnd, so that if you're not constantly making sites, it's hard to become a recognizable name, except among regs
