Welcome to the world of Doja Cat. Born and raised in L.A., the 24-year-old self-taught singer-rapper is a vet of sorts. The arts were central to her upbringing, and she started sharing her music on Soundcloud back in 2013. A year later she dropped her much-buzzed-about ‘Purrr!’ EP. Ever since, she’s nurtured an ever-growing array of feverish fans who revere her for combining a radiant charisma with unique flow and tongue-in-cheek lyrics (see: the irresistible“MOOO!”). Seems like Doja has designed her version of alt-R&B to take off in any direction she chooses. Tours with Lizzo and Theophilius London led right into 2018’s impressive ‘Amala,’ her debut proper, followed by last year’s ‘Hot Pink.’ That album’s “Say So” is currently clocking big numbers. Arresting visuals help. Her videos for both her radio juggernaut and "Rules" are wildly fun. When the Vevo production team united with the feline phenom to figure out performance ideas, the creative juices were flowing. The goal? Put the “cat” in Doja Cat - a decision that resulted in what’s probably our most ambitious studio build to date for a LIFT performance. For her “Streets” performance, we built Doja a massive bowl of 2%, where she was clearly in her element. And if that isn’t peak, then the human-sized scratching house is. On 8 December 2024, the Syrian Arab Republic under Bashar al-Assad collapsed amid major offensives by the Syrian opposition (led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and supported by allied Turkish-backed rebel groups in the Syrian National Army) as part of the Syrian civil war that began in 2011. The fall of Damascus marked the end of the Assad family regime, which had ruled Syria as a totalitarian hereditary dictatorship since Hafez al-Assad assumed the presidency in 1971 as a result of the Corrective Revolution. As the Southern Operations Room, a rebel coalition, encroached on Damascus while attempting to find the former president, reports emerged that Assad had fled the capital on a plane. The Syrian rebels subsequently declared victory against the Assad government on state television, while Russia's foreign ministry announced Assad's resignation and departure from Syria. Russia subsequently reported that it had given Assad and his family asylum.

Olivia Nuzzi, the political journalist who allegedly developed a "personal relationship" with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the campaign trail, has left New York magazine amid the fallout from their scandal. On Oct. 21, New York revealed in a statement that Nuzzi, 31, is no longer employed by the outlet, one month after she was placed on leave following allegations that she grew close to Kennedy while covering his independent presidential campaign. The statement said that New York and Nuzzi agreed to "part ways" despite a third-party review concluding that she did not show signs of bias in her reporting. "Last month, the magazine enlisted the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine to review Olivia Nuzzi’s work during the 2024 campaign," the magazine's statement reads. "They reached the same conclusion as the magazine’s initial internal review of her published work, finding no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias." The statement continued: "Nevertheless, the magazine and Nuzzi agreed that the best course forward is to part ways. Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer and we have been proud to publish her work over her nearly eight years as our Washington Correspondent. We wish her the best."

Ning Ping is a racist, communist Chinese man who enjoys taking revenge on Filipino-Americans and making them do slave labor after a female Filipino refused to date him. He has a tendency to say "whazzap" a lot, and speaks in a thick Chinese accent. In episode 15 of season 2, the gang infiltrate Ning Ping's headquarters, however Ning Ping is double-crossed by his right-hand-man who turns out to be 47th president of the United States, George W. Bush. Bush then calls upon the support of Don Imus, an American former radio personality, and the two of them unveil the "Robophobe", an evil robot with the power to turn everyone causasian. The gang must battle the "Robophobe" with a formation resembling the Megazord (from the Power Rangers).

She was previously Trump's campaign manager, having been appointed in August 2016; Conway is the first woman to have run a successful U.S. presidential campaign. She has previously held roles as campaign manager and strategist in the Republican Party and was formerly president and CEO of the Polling Company/WomanTrend. Conway lived in Trump World Tower from 2001 to 2008 and conducted private polls for Trump in late 2013 when he was considering running for governor of New York. In the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, Conway initially endorsed Ted Cruz and chaired a pro-Cruz political action committee. After Cruz withdrew from the race, Trump appointed Conway as a senior advisor and later campaign manager. On December 22, 2016, Trump announced that Conway would join his administration as counselor to the president. Even the shyest of birds occasionally have their spicy moments... deciding to wear a sheer skirt out for a day of shopping was already a bold move, but after picking up a few new toys at his favourite toy store he got a little too carried away and the idea entered his head that trying one out in public would be an exciting way to spend the afternoon. Slipping it in somewhere discrete, not too worried about it being visible through the sheer fabric figuring his tailfeathers and general fluff would do a good enough job hiding it from view, he settled down at a nearby coffee shop. Unfortunately for poor Addie, the toy ended up being considerably more effective than he had expected. Suffice it to say, everyone around had a pretty good idea what was going on, and given his state there wasn't much he could do about it except wait for his body to calm down enough for him to be able to walk away... Fortunately, this kind of thing is well tolerated and often even enjoyed his his world, so he shouldn't get into much trouble. Judging by the subtle shake of the camera though, we may be viewing this through someone's phone recording... that's what you get for trying out toys in public, Addie!
