If it is true about what somebody said about the end of the world coming at a time when the people do not know about it, then this may be it- face it, not every single person in the world knows about this. Only people like us and whoever else has been watching this thing count down like a bomb know.
Or the fruit flies are just the bait for what comes afterwards, or just a distraction while the creators steal millions of dollars from every major bank in every region with a red dot.

It could be one of several things. One can be an advertisement for a movie or a product that will become the actual site when the timer stops. There's no way it's a real threat. All the random code and numbers are to confuse you. Why would they put these random numbers everywhere? Not for themseleves. They can keep them in private parts of the site.
yes, they have been posting since the fall. but look at the post dates. no one really cared. just a couple a day. then usually a long break in posting. earlier this week i was looking around, and saw no active threads about it. maybe one with like a post a day, but it didnt look like anything was happening. UNTIL THE YTMND WAS MADE.
the site itself isnt that amazing anymore, just the series of events that i've seen happening throughout the course of this are exciting
Well, I personally don't have a problem with giant red dots being deployed to my area...I was just saying to my girlfriend the other day..."You know what this town could use? A GIANT RED DOT!" Now these Eon8 people are going to provide what I'd consider a public service. GIANT f*ck OFF RED DOTS FOR EVERYBODY!!!
It's probably just a viral advertising campaign. What's it's definitely NOT is anything sinister or interesting. The creaters of that site are trying VERY HARD to make it look mysterious, from which we can only conclude that it is anything but. Please don't encourage them by making YTMNDs like this.
Antarctica isn't there either. Probably because there are no fruitflies in the tundra. OH, and if anyone's going to jump on me about the dots in the Russian tundra, those are the sites of major internet hubs. I stand by my fruitflies... funny how three months ago the first thing I thought of when I heard that word was "what a great new term for f*g-hag".
Yes. Study where all of the red dots are. Clearly if any sort of biological or chemical weapon were to be used, the targets affected would have bodies piled up so high that you can see them from space. The untargeted areas will revert to a pseudo-state of cannibalism and tribal warfare, seeing as half the world has been hit. It would be only a matter of time before one tribe gets their hands on what nukes were not decimated or rendered inefficient and really put the gears to what would be left.

b4 this was made, there was maybe like 50-100 sites on the /security page. that was throughout the whole time it was up (150ish days ?? ) and after this ytmnd theres .. i dont know.. 1,000? + 259 Referers awaiting verification
Good point macabre, just I dunno, a slick website that's advertised the way this is doesn't seem so... terror like. It wouldn't make sense to announce a terrorist strike, the point of those type of attacks are to be quick, unexpected, and effective. The terrorist thing on eon8 is a possibilit, albeit a very stretched one.
Perhaps they rely on the fact that there have been sites before which have similar circumstances attached, and use it to blanket the idea of terror in presumed terror. This site has been around a while now, hasn't it? There are others like it, such as untitled.com and hell.com, so why not take crying wolf to a different level?

I believe that this may be recording where you are in the states. Using some proxy avoider, has anyone done this? I am guessing it's recording your computer's destination for something, so I think YOU SHOULD NOT GO HERE. If you have IMMEDIETALY REFRESH YOUR IP. Plug out your computer at 10 PM, do something. I think it's best to not know.
i didnt mean to come off that negativly... but in all honesty your country is far too paranoid than it should be... i mean just look at CNN... a bunch of random arab guys are found squatting in a warehouse in florida, without weapons or guns, who happen to dislike america and all of a sudden it becomes breaking news and is blown out of proportion because one of them mentioned the sears tower- next thing you know its "a potential 9/11" plastered all over the screen.. don't let cnn get a hold of eon8!
After pouring over the code for this website, I have come to a conclusion that this is nothing but a hoax. It has simple code to 'synch' the main page with your computer clock. Any idiot can see that when you click 'View Source'. This is just a weekend computer programming project. If I had the ability, I would reacreate the entire site just to debunk it. I give you a five star anyways for your effort to further this elaborate myth and making a decent YTMND.

Okay, willing to belive in this now that I've seen more evidence. I have no clue what this is all about, but there's also an Eon2, 3, 5, and 9 that I know of. None of which seem to be related, other than the overall mysteriousness of Eon5. All I know is that our time is running short, and if we're gonna figure this out before the sh*t hits the fan, we'd better do it fast.
After seeing that it was hosted in Texas.. I did infact remember reading an article a while back about a guy in the Texas Academey of Science that advocated killing 90% of the human population. And got a standing ovation for it, too. I don't really know much about it but after googling X13600 and getting a bunch of results about the human Genome stuff..
