Sorry fella, although I disagree in the strongest terms with what he and others found funny, we can't stop them thinking that! I hope the guy who did that got burned alive whilst at his parents 25th aniversary whilst proposing a toast saying "Heres to another 25 years of my family", then eaten by tigers but unfortunately, we cant stop them!
First off, Khono, this probably isn't the best place to debate this with the 120-second response delay. The person who made this vid did nothing to stop the act. I don't think there's any Holocaust vids made by the nazis. That was documentation of war crimes. This is trying (and failing) to entertain. Anyway, if we're just going to look at it as a YTMND, this IS a repost of a repost of a repost. 1'd.
I can't link any specific holocaust vids, but I've at least seen vids after the fact. Whether it's a documentary or something for entertainment doesn't change what the video is. One last point, I don't think it's easy to say, with certainty, what someone is getting out of a video. Some people enjoy the bible or war movies 'cause of the violence, and some people 'enjoy' the burning cat vid because they can learn from it, maybe to better prevent such a thing from happening.
All I'm saying is that the holocaust vids were made as evidence for the Nuremburg war crimes tribunal. Lots of good came out of the holocaust videos, since it sent those responsible to the gallows. Not the case here. This was originally posted on a site known for off-base humor according to the YTMND Wiki. I'd think that means it was meant to entertain, but I suppose other people could take it as something else. Anyway, if you read mudshovel413's comments on it, it's clear he did it to be an ass.
/shrug I always wanted to see the vid, since there were so many YTMNDs talking about it. Good can come from pictures of terrible things. Though I wouldn't call killing people, even 'legal killing', a good thing. I've know several people who've perposely watched something real and horrific just for the experience of seeing it. I think that's why most people watch horror movies.
