wouldnt Neutral be 2.5 (half of 5) though?

Yeah, but sucks that you can't vote with a decimal.

If a neutral vote were 2.5, then a downvote would have to be a 0.

Technically, our sites are graded from 0 to 4, since a site can't get rated lower than 1 once voted on. YTMND is, like, so GPA that way.

it's not based on a "half" system. if it were we would have options such as 1.25, and 3.75. instead, we use 5 different options, 3 being the middlemost option, so quit trying to be brainy with the 2.5 stuff. you should know better.

actually no, because an upvote plus a downvote equals a midvote; and then a midvote plus another midvote balances out as a midvote. midvoted.

To put it in simple terms, (1+5)/2 = 3.
