lol yeah I was listening to different things, seeing what might work. Also notice my battery almost ran out. Takes thirty seconds to refresh, even up the scroller, screenie, put in paint and save...so I had 30 more seconds to carry my computer and mouse to an outlet. Almost missed it. And then the phone started ringing. I did NOT want to start over again with this thing as it takes a full hour tied to the computer.

good idea in theory, too bad YTMND really doesn't change, top viewed views amount of views seem to stay the same
June 3rd, 2007
(1)
Ha ha, some moron above thought that John Cage wrote Koyaanisqatsi. John Cage couldn't write music like Glass if he tried. If it weren't for his incredible theory, philisophical insight and novelty artistic value, John Cage couldn't write his way out of a paper bag (though he probably wrote FOR paper bag)
June 3rd, 2007
(1)
I never knew that writing cyclical music could get you out of a paper bag.

why isnt top viewed not increasing?

netscape. classy.
June 3rd, 2007

quite deceptive. I was expecting a time lapse of the last three years. instead, it's a one-hour lapse...pretty weak.

I always had an urge to do this but never the patience. Sick man =)
June 3rd, 2007

cool, original idea. there's gotta be a way to automate this, however. it'd be cool to see over several days/weeks how things change and maybe from this we can determine how idiots like this http://aeqweqweqwe.ytmnd.com/ seem to always find their way to the top 10
June 3rd, 2007

Isn't it amazing? Look at the way it turns to face the sun.

One time I had a time lapse. It was back before this site was made. I used to own a hammock then and I would rest my elephant infested balls on it for he winter. SH*t by the time it was blown over I would have already finished my burrito from tacto bell. Wipe the sweat off my head ya know and wait for the next winter. Thats just how it is.

haha. philip glass is THE guy to use when making time lapses of any kind. It would have been pretty cool if you highlighted one site and we could see it from its beginning to up and coming and then disapear or something

Huh. An hour's worth of screenshots. How 'bout that. Good music choice, I'll admit. I think that's what got you your score/views.
June 4th, 2007
(0)
True. What can I say? I like Glass, and it fit. But I would just as well have upvoted this concept if it had been made by someone else, whatever the music had been. Otherwise I would not have made this ytmnd.
June 4th, 2007

Fair enough. Wasn't complaining.

If no one else does it first, and whenever I find time, I plan to do a 24 hour lapse at half-hour intervals. I say "whenever I find time" because of course that means no sleep for 24 hours, and even more time tied to the computer (but not as tied as this one caused me to be). I DO have a life, but it just happens to include making time lapses of things because I find that sort of thing quite interesting. ^_^

"Floating" comments (which are actually replies and not comments in and of themselves) are generated when the user being replied to is deleted. The original post said "They call me Cuban Pete, I'm the king of the Rumba beat!" and belonged to a now-deleted gimmick account. Cheers! :)
