You have my blessing to downvote all you want. I didn't make the site to achieve some kind of weird "fame" on ytmnd. This was actually my first visit back to the site in over a year to do something other than look for a specific site that I was reminded of and wanted to see at that particular time. I made this site for a friend, and will probably go back to not visiting this site for a long while after this. Incidentally, this is the most successful site of all those I have made, ha!

But just think about the fact that yourethemannowdog.com, the original ytmnd, had a picture that the author had nothing to do with, a sound that he did not create (whether or not it is interesting is subjective), and text that was a simple transcript of the sound. Much like this site, with the exception of the text.

Max's site re-contextualized a movie quote to the point of parody. Can we stop using that as an excuse to ebaum the internet? You took something someone else made and forwarded it, keeping its original intent intact - hardly the same. Do you really consider that "a success" just because it got some hits? i am not "most proud" of that dumb star trek site and yes i told a handful of nerd friends about it because that dumb joke is one of those rare ytmnd occurrences where an average, non-ytmnd internet person might understand whats going on. and i happen to have made it. i might also point out that i cannot recall a single other place on the internet where i overzealously posted more contradicting, mocking and mean spirited comments in one place.

but we know you have a problem with subtlety, which is why nearly all of your "intellectual" blocks of text seem like they came from a twenty-three-year-old college "super senior" who just discovered lsd and habitually internalizes flat out incoherence as some pretentious level of high art.

"i'm proud of the site and even prouder of the low effort that went into actually making it." you may not recall, but i've said before: your comments on other people's sites often point out their structural elements and deride their use of formula. i did the same, and you call it mocking and mean-spirited. and if you haven't made all your mean-spirited and mocking comments in one place, it's only because you spread them out. oh well, so it goes.

i really believe that i like you and your sites more than you do. you are one of a handful of users that make this place worth visiting. sorry if you're so insecure that you find my ramblings to be "intellectual" and think they need to be knocked down a peg or two.
