On on the site ?Christian Martyrdom
Also, I find it funny how you (whetstone) so openly state that "Well, they're not the true Christians!" Oh, and just what is it that makes *your* particular sect of Christtianity so special and more Christian-like that Catholicism or the other various forms? Funny how you accept that all the *other* religions are wrong while turning a blind eye to your own.

On on the site ?Christian Martyrdom
Funny, did Christ free the Spanish Inquisitors of their hatred before they persecuted people in various morbid and inhumane ways? Did Christ set the Crusaders free of their hatred before they slaughtered all the Muslims in Jerusalem? Also, funny how Christians can kill one another and still count those kills as "Martyrdom." I think that'd be more like a "Contradiction in the beliefs of Christians as a whole."

While according to the theory of causality, the universe would have to have a cause, you can't say for a fact that that cause is a thinking entity (otherwise known as God) who pulled the strings. If you're going to make a claim, the burden of proof is upon you to support your argument with more than philosophy. -4 for having a close-minded view that the only thing that could've been the cause of the Universe was God. +1 because you actually used better methods of arguing than the average Christian

Blind faith is just another form of blind ignorance. If anything can be said about the theory of evolution, it's that its followers accept new information, even if it might slightly contradict previous information. In this way, the theory is more credible than the Bible as it actually builds upon itself. The Bible and its supporters say "This is how it is, nothing is wrong, and if you say so, you're going to hell." Not how it works with evolution.

"My friend do you realize evolutionary theory has undergone some SERIOUS overhauls in the past 100 years?" I've seen these apparent 'overhauls' that Christians claim lower the credibility of evolution. They include things like "Well, we recently discovered that animals actually evolve(d) at a faster pace than we previously believed." In other words, scientists make a modest hypothesis, test it, and find out that the answer is a lot more surprising than they expected.
