One of those Wagner "records" is clearly a CD from the Naxos label; Naxos being started in the late 80's has never released vinyl - this completely shattered the realism for me. Shattered.
+5 for Miserere; this piece of music has a pretty epic background behind it. As the story goes, the Vatican commissioned it and it was found to be so beautiful that they banned it's performance outside of the Sistine chapel under threat of excommunication, embargoing the sheet music. Mozart was like 12 when he attended a service at the Chapel and heard the Miserere. He remembered the entire thing with improvisations and wrote it down and distributed it, thus ensuring it's survival outside of the Vatican library. To my mind it's the very first win against "DRM" in a primitive form.
"not worth more than a few hundred dollars each on ebay."
If that's true liquidating those would certainly count as some fraction towards the cost. If the shirts are dead inventory why not do a PBS style "free gift" for your contribution of ___$ ... etc. Also, I think many would prefer light, proactive moderation to naming a computer... eh? eh?
Wouldn't not reading something because of excessive length (2 short paragraphs) be stereotypically a fault of this "generation pokemon" that you accuse me of being a part of? I assume YTMND's reigning éminence grise would prefer a slightly substantive response instead of a pithy 140 character rebuff.
