Their boss regularly patrols the rows they sit in to make sure they are not getting detracted from selling the product. If they somehow are, though that extremely rarely happens, they are instructed to hang up. When they are hired, they are exempt from any law that may be imposed upon them over the phone. Not even obstruction of justice.
