Well folks, it's that time of year again.
Sega is trying to take away your first amendment rights to make fun of their furry little characters.

The message came from Sega of EUROPE?, if it came from a company in europe and it's about trademarking, then they can't do sh*t while YTMND is in U.S.A., unless of course Sega of America is involved. I'm not keeping up with the news, so I could be wrong. For the record, the new Sonice the Hedgehog sucked ass, mainly because of the bad plot (Hedgehog dating a human-princess?, that's beastality).
GIMMICK ACCOUNT SUCCESS: today a user pmed me by mistake with his gimmick account. i told him if he didnt delete all his votes or simply delete the dupe account i'd tell everyone who his 'normal' ego was on here. he opted for the former. save it to say, http://ytmnd.com/users/TheAngryNintendoNerd (based not on one catchphrase but his entire character) has put his account in the deletion queue.
Looks like the folks in the east are going to be in for one hell of a rude awakening. Now, I know for a fact that this doesn't pertain to us, nor is it our beeswax, but if anyone gets their right to tease the hell out of the system, then dammit, I'll have none of it! Gee, a company getting upset that their mascot is being used in connection (in any way, shape, or form) with rape. No, I wouldn't expect them to be bothered by that... Keep in mind people, "fair use" is not a 1st Amendment umbrella that lets you do whatever you want with someone's else's copyrighted materials. Sega may have a very valid claim here. Their demands, however, are excessive and nonsensical, and would likely be defeated if max and dzk were to argue their merits in front of a judge.
In today's YTMND news, Max deleted DeeDeeDeer. Meanwhile, Flavor-Flav, Hulk-Hogan, CHUCKHATER3000, Punisher, kwsn, thePlease, and dozens of other gimmic comment-f*ggot-downvote-abusive users continue to flourish on the site. So, hurray, one f*ggot deleted, while in the last 12 hours 40 new ones popped up. Sorry to say, but deleting one f*ggot every two weeks isn't going to help the site. But whatcha gonna do brother?

Apparantly, the good people at SEGA of Europe have no concept of "parody" or "satire". Even though the YTMND in question is kind of lewd, it's still satire, and is therefore perfectly legal in the US. Besides, the "That's No Good" meme has been around for probably 2 or 3 years.
This bullsh*t makes me not want to be a Sonic fan anymore. So congratualtions, SEGA of Europe. You've just lost a once-loyal member of your mascot's fanbase. Have a nice life. t('_'t)
to be honest, they are not violating your so called backwards american first amendment. They have every right to take legal actions against YTMND. If you guys knew anything about corporations, you would know that the 14th amendment was used to classify a corporation a person. So in otherwords, you can be sued for deframation and for libel and defamation. So YTMND is clearly in ther wrong.
In-The-Name-Of-Jihad finally points out the difference between the right to "freedom of speech" and "fair use", the latter not actually being a right but an interpretation of old copyright law and under much debate, especially since the DMCA passed in 1998. Now please Jihad, explain the difference between "irony" and "coincidence" because that one bugs the sh*t outta me too.

I called it before they went in and sure enough, as the main character goes, so goes the plot.
