believe that this position is as untenable as strong atheism. Weak atheism is merely the belief that there is no reason to believe that god or gods exist and no reason to believe that it is impossible to determine whether or not god exists. If a person cannot prove the existence or non-existence or impossibility of god or gods this is the default and rational position to hold. It makes no assertion at all. It is not a belief but a lack of belief due to a lack of proof of any positive theistic assertions.

It's a religion, just like yours, just not in a conventional sense. It's the belief that there is no higher power. Four for effort, though to be fair labeling all Atheists as evil mass murders because of the acts of a few despots is as fair as labeling all christians as child molestors because of t he acts of a few priests. There is as much diversity among Athiests as there is among Christians. Just as often the only link between Christians of various denominations is the single belief that Jesus died for your sins, often the only link between Atheists is the unwillingness to except the existance of the supernatural.

It'll never cease to amaze me how fervently people will defend something they BELIEVE....when there is absolutely no proof for it. Wow. I used to think Sitsu was pretty cool. I am a bit shocked to see he can be such a douche when he disagrees with someone. The bible has no evidence anywhere backing anything anyone said in it up. In fact, most of the bible is all contradiction and does a fine job all by itself of disproving its own words. If there is no God, God=0. God+i=i. The set containing God and myself is the set containing only me, therefore I am God. You can be God too! You may say, "That's crazy talk", but not only is it true, but it emphasizes the fact that if God doesn't exist, you are free to be yourself. Your time is all you have, don't waste it on some archaic idea. We're all atheists, some just believe in one less god than the others.

Of course pantheism's god is a "dead" god because he is simply all that is. Also, Spinoza said that the physical and the mental were two modes of one substance and that there were infinitely many modes that we can't comprehend/understand/observe. Of course, the proof was a logical one and has obviously been argued against, but in no way is there a heaven or hell under this god... It's basically saying that the laws of nature are God, and when you die you're dead, just like everything else in nature.

If there is a creator (we can't prove there is or isn't), there is no way it is the "god" that has been made up over the last few thousand or so years of christianity. I don't think there is really any way I could fix that problem, my resolution is 1600x1200, I see it all fine, the only possible way I can think of would be to resize every image, and make text so small you couldn't read...lol. I guess that is one problem that would take like 20 hours to fix.
