That's not rotoscoping....that's not rotoscoping at all.
(in case you're wondering: Rotoscoping is the act of tracing over a projection of film to create an animation. Ever see Ah-Ha's video for "Take on Me" (or any of the YTMNDs parodying it)? That's rotoscoping. This is shillouetting in Imageready, which is different and lame and differently lame)
www.lowermybills.com uses rotoscoping on their banner ads, which is proof that it's not original or artistic. you wasted some time running around, you wasted your friends time holding your video camera, and wasted a whole lot more time painstakingly painting frame by frame in flash. if you're doing a frame by frame paintover, at least make it worth your while and do something of 'waking life' or 'a scanner darkly' quality... this type of basic rotoscoping can be done in much less time using chromakey...
I hate internet drama. HERE ARE THE FACTS:
1. Parkour. NOT URBAN FREESTYLE.
2. Your Parkour isn't that impressive. I've done more impressive tricks in Metal Gear Solid. And that's not saying much.
3. That's not rotoscope.
4. The song doesn't really match up, he should have been chased for this song.
5. There is no real artistic concept at play here. "Running through the urban jungle"would be an overplayed concept anyway, and well, I don't see any 'urban' in this YTMND.

6. If you've taken a Speech and Debate class, you would know that anything you say can be easily misconstrued to mean anything else. Easily including things that sound self-righteous and self-absorbed.
7. I DO have a right to critique this because this is what these comments are for. (just my 'just in case' clause.)
TL;DR: This guy fails at art, and being a good sport to critique. Go die in a couch fire.
No use getting made magicalcranberry, It will do no good, for the most part with ytmnd it seems like the more work you put into something ther more everyone hates it. I mean look at all those Poland sites those are a bunch a f*cking trash yet they all get high ratings, and to me they are all the same annoying ugly bullsh*t. I didnt really understand what you were getting at with this ytmnd here But it was ok to me. Not to entertaining though. When it comes to ytmnd im looking for a quick laugh. This was about normal to me not great not terrible. But it wasnt funny.

Just because you used the word "rotoscoped' doesn't make it new. 2nd, anyone with a Flash crack and a Flash tut can do it. I'm not saying it doesn't look cool, I just saying you shouldn't say that you're anything special when it comes to coloring 15 second clips that you imported into Flash.
