Yeah, she can spin either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on how you look at it. Try concentrating on the legs or shadow to get her to "flip".

There's no allusion at all, an allusion is a literary reference. As for the shadow, the lack of depth means it could spin either way. When you see her legs coming together, they could either be in front of her or behind her.
