Yeah, but you can't blame him too much here. He fell because he pushed off the ramp (therefore losing his board) over into the center of the half pipe, so there wasn't an incline to slide down. If he tried the knee pads, he probably would have shattered his spine if he landed vertically. Of course he's still lucky to have walked away regardless.
