I'm somewhat distressed by the number of comments I've been reading lately that have little to do with the sites they are on. I never intended people to vote based on the person who made a site, but rather the site's content, the time spent on creating it and the fundamental idea behind it and most of all, originality. Sometimes these can all be simple or sometimes these can all be complex.
I think in the case of this site he has obviously gone above and beyond the technical aspects of both sound and imagery and on top of that the idea is somewhat clever. The site just came together well. You can bitch that syncan has a legion of fans that upvotes his sites, but the fact is (and you can call me a syncan-fanboy(adverb)) he spends a LOT of time working on each site. He puts effort into it, and in a lot of cases, the end result is usually a step above the average ytmnd.
I'm just amazed that some of the people making these comments have profiles void of anything humorous (both in and outside of ytmnd culture) but they show an obvious lack of effort. If you are going to give a site a low rating because you don't think it's funny or you think it is of low quality or taste, say so, but low balling a site for any other reason (ie. username, popularity) is childish and it reflects poorly on the entire community.
