On on the site ?Christian Martyrdom
On another note - if Christianity hadn't been writing history for the last thousand years, and if the task weren't such a great undertaking, and if the comments box were big enough, I'd bring up some statistics of how many innocent people Christians have killed in the last thousand years for their god.

Poor you. Having all these people disagreeing with you on the internet. Life is hard for the dominant religion, eh? Christianity has had the upper hand on the world for a good thousand years now, it's about time logic and reason started to win back ground. This holier-than-thou attitude is starting to get on my nerves.

1. God has no cause, but the universe has to have a cause. Not really. We don't understand how reality could exist forever considering the second law of thermodynamics - it's no reason to default to god because we don't know everything. God makes no more sense to fill the gap here than magic fairies would. I'll wait for actual proof, thanks. 2. Life can't come of non-life/intelligence can't come of none-intelligence. The YTMND was a 3 until there. You just made those two up, and both are totally wrong...

"Everything that supports evolution has been proven wrong." Ha. Ha. Ha...ha. No. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of_evolution

"Not really, as you can in fact know that God exists but people are to ignorant or scared to even try to know becuase there scared that if He does exist they won't be able to do all the bad stuff there doing, so its more convenient to deny his existence altogether." You say some funny things. But probably not when you want them to be funny. Your response to people not believing what you believe is that they are obviously criminals of the highest order.

"As for proof, there are plenty of proofs out there" No. Not really. Unless you mean the "proof" out there, like when people find Jesus in their toast. Or the "science", like Intelligent Design, which happily ignores all the science which carefully explains how it is very possible (even probably) that life could arrive how it has without divine intervention.

"You believe God dont exist, then prove it. You cant prove the nonexistence of anything." Correct. However, you can't just believe in things because they can't be disproven. If I told you there was a planet made of cheese out there, with seas of French wine, would you believe in it because it can't be disproven? Due to the fact we have no real proof in gods favour at all, athiesm (or at least agnosticism) is the most logical choice, unless further proof pops up...and it's had a long, long time to pop up.

The pictures gave it four. Lost a star for the random corny American patriotism (refering to the American flag shining in some womans eye). I may consider fouring it again if you add a platypus. On a side note, description isn't the Bibles strong point is it..."it was very good"...I mean, come on...magnificant, incredible, glorious, awesome...they're spoilt for choice and they chose "very good". Pfft I say. Pfft.

But Christianity, which is practically built into Western society, was exactly the same further back in history. In the Bible, god is known to command genocide, for reasons including religion (Numbers 21:34-35) (Numbers 31:7-41)(Numbers 21:34-35) as well as committing the same act himself, he orders the destruction of temples to other religions (Deuteronomy 12:2-3)(Exodus 34:11)...I could go on. The Bible is not all butterflies and rainbows, yet Christianity is not incompatible to Western Culture.

"One who kills a non-Muslim person under protection will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise." I'm a strong athiest, by the way, I just found that on the internet.

What was it about? The tensions in the Middle East, of course. The cartoons were more an excuse to riot, the pushing factor, but not the main cause. Had a far, far stronger Islamic country invaded Canada and Mexico with some semi-reasonable grounds and no intervention from the UN, you could still be sure to find some extremist Christian groups, and more than a few riots. As for Islam wanting to kill people of other religions, this is from the Islamic holy texts:
August 17th, 2006
"I agree that the cartoons were inappropriate, but their reaction was proof that Islam isn't compatible with Western societies, and can't be allowed here in mass numbers." Do you really think this was all because of Islam, all because of that one rule? Do you really believe the Crusades were all about Christianity? Islam is very, very similar to Christianity - the only thing that would make the West and Islam incompatible would be idiots who somehow think Islam is some kind of evil terrorist religion.

...which means his challenge is impossible. And he uses this as if it's some kind of evidence evolution has no proof. Because he's an idiot. I'm fine with religion when it doesn't try to fight science. Believe what you like, just don't get in the way of progress, or it'll run you over eventually.

"$250,000 to prove evolution: http://www.drdino.com/articles.php?spec=67" What he's asking for is literally impossible to prove. He actually asks to prove evolution, in which he includes the formation of the universe for some reason, took place without the guidance of God. Scientists can prove evolution, but they can't disprove God (don't get any ideas, it's impossible to totally disprove almost anything - and there is NO EVIDENCE for god whatsoever, as opposed to overwhelming evidence for evolution)...

"http://drdino.activeforjesus.com/videos/seminar1_300k.wmv" He claims the world is 6,000 years old...do you know how stupid that is? It's like saying the world is flat. It goes against almost every field of science, plus a lot of what we know about ancient history.
August 6th, 2006
"right, two chiuces: 1. Somebody made the world 2. The world made itself matter can't create matter... k" Are you deliberatly misunderstanding? The world did not create itself, it came about after the Big Bang (which did not create matter, it just created planets, stars, ect out of existing matter) and came into it's current position by the laws of physics. This is the most reasonable scientific theory, and it makes sense from observing the positioning of the celestial bodies.

It's fake - that's kind of what how I was expecting them to end though.

On on the site ?Spore > Reality
So true.
August 5th, 2006
As for the laws of physics...that's just the way things work. You can't put it on a scale or compare it with other things because there are no other laws. If things were different, life could survive, just not life familiar to us. As for the fact we can understand the universe...is that so surprising?
August 5th, 2006
On the videos you've now got in the description...the evolution ones are wrong, evolution can explain complex life on a single-cellular level, due to the timescales involved. And as for the badly named theory of relativity video, and the big bang one...they talk about the chances being low for the number of STARS in THIS galaxy. There are MILLIONS of BILLIONS of stars in the universe.
August 5th, 2006
"But yeah. There is a God. Stop denying it already, people." Remember the Greeks used to believe the stars were chariots of fire? Before we had science, when people couldn't explain things, they made them up. All God is is a myth left over from earlier times. The whole concept is useless and outdated now.

This is made of win and awesome. Originally 4'd, but watching it again and being surprised by the midget upped it by one.

"YTMND isn't a cause that needs your support? I guess you're the hypocrite now, dog. If you don't want to support YTMND, perhaps you should leave?" Max himself has said "worst $176.79 you ever spent." here. Come on, it's a ytmnd supporting Christian theology - which is all about peace, love, ect...wouldn't the money better go to things like starving children in that particular case? Supporting humour = good! Supporting Christian propaganda while children starve against Christian principles = bad.
August 4th, 2006
Not to mention, as Steben so rightfully stated, you've wasted nearly 180$ on this insult to intelligent theism, instead of spending it on causes which need it.
August 4th, 2006
"Either way it's a very beautiful YTMND and you know it." Not really. It's inaccurate, misleading and ignorant. Please, go on wikipedia, look up the real scientific theories. The universe is so massive that a planet like Earth NOT existing would be better evidence in Gods favour. And the laws of physics are such that this is the only ways things could turn out after something like the Big Bang - a theory which is also packed with evidence, though not as well proven as evolution.
August 4th, 2006
"How about this, if god is perfect, why would he create imperfect beings? Or to take that further, why woukd he get lonely and need humans?" And why does he need them to worship him, or he'll send them to hell? Sounds like someone's insecure. I think God's agnostic.
August 3rd, 2006
"5'd because of bitter Atheists trying to force their propoganda about not forcing your propaganda." Scientific fact =/= propaganda. If some people took the time to consider the proof in favour of evolution then the world would be a lot more informed place.
August 3rd, 2006
"I used to believe in evolution, but then I realized that the theory of evolution makes no sense." You vs Respectable Science = Science wins Please try again.
